Creating meaningful social change isn't easy.

Russell Advisory Services works with private, corporate and community foundations to develop data-driven philanthropic strategies on issues ranging from educational attainment and affordable housing to healthcare and economic development. We also partner with corporate leaders to develop shared value strategies that align strong business outcomes with measurable social impact.

At Russell Advisory Services, we are committed to building the capacity of board and staff to navigate complex social systems as strategies are implemented and creating tools and processes to help evaluate progress and course correct along the way.

We don't believe in a "one-size-fits all" approach to strategic planning and learning. Every organization is different, each bringing its own history and lived experience. While we will draw upon best practices from more than a decade in consulting, we will also work with clients - across the United States and internationally - to create approaches that work with their priorities, organizational needs, and capacity constraints.

Strategic & annual planning

Whether you are building a strategy from scratch, developing a specific initiative, or needing a more tactical annual plan to focus your efforts, we have the knowledge and proven expertise to help you develop a path forward and achieve impact.

learning & evaluation

Strategic plans shouldn't sit on shelves. We work with clients to develop tools and capacity for ongoing reflection as strategies unfold and contexts change. We also conduct ongoing and retrospective analyses to evaluate if and how investments achieved desired objectives.

trainings & executive coaching

We offer customized trainings for staff to increase their strategy, evaluation and learning capacity as well as provide one-on-one executive coaching on strategic planning and management.
